At Project Ring, we believe that one conversation, one resource card, or one act of kindness can completely change the direction of someone's life.

What started as a passion project when I was 16 years old has grown into a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, financial hardship, addiction, domestic violence, and other life-altering circumstances. As a paramedic, I have witnessed firsthand how quickly someone's life can change. Many people are only one unexpected event away from needing help themselves.

That is why Project Ring exists.

Our mission is simple: connect people with resources, remind them they are worthy, and help create pathways toward stability, hope, and healing.

June 10, 2026 | Newark Public Safety Life-Saving Training

Project Ring was proud to participate in a Free Life-Saving Training event hosted by the Newark Police Department's 4th Precinct alongside community partners including HOPE Worldwide, MAKS LLC, and University Hospital.

Community members received hands-on instruction in CPR, choking emergencies, and bleeding control techniques—critical skills that can help save lives before emergency responders arrive.

At Project Ring, we believe education is one of the most powerful tools for strengthening communities. By helping individuals gain the knowledge and confidence to respond during emergencies, we can create safer and more prepared neighborhoods throughout New Jersey.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside local law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and community organizations dedicated to making a positive impact.

❤️ Connecting Families to Resources

One of the most meaningful parts of Project Ring's mission is connecting people to help when they need it most.

Recently, after receiving a Project Ring resource card, a local resident reached out seeking guidance for his mother, who was struggling with alcohol addiction. Through resource navigation and support, we were able to connect the family with addiction recovery resources, treatment information, and support services available within their community.

This interaction serves as a reminder that sometimes a simple conversation, a resource card, or a connection can be the first step toward hope and recovery.

Shelter Outreach with Newark Police Department

This week, Project Ring joined Newark Police Department Community Officers for another outreach event at a local shelter.

Together, we distributed resource cards, answered questions, and connected individuals with services ranging from housing assistance and food support to mental health programs and substance use recovery resources.

One of the most rewarding parts of these events is hearing people's stories. Many individuals simply want someone to listen, treat them with dignity, and remind them that they matter. Every conversation helps us better understand the barriers people face and how we can continue improving our outreach efforts.

Events like these are a reminder that real change happens through relationships and consistent community support.

Honored by HOPE Worldwide

Project Ring was honored to be recognized by HOPE worldwide for our community outreach efforts.

During the event, Project Ring resource cards were displayed at an information table where attendees could learn more about available services and community support programs.

While recognition is never the goal, moments like this remind us how much can be accomplished when organizations work together to serve others.

We are incredibly grateful for every volunteer, donor, community partner, and supporter who has helped make our work possible.

Maternal Health & Community Wellness Event

Project Ring was invited by Rhonda Clarke and Handing It With Hope International to participate in a community event focused on maternal health and wellness.

The event brought together healthcare professionals, advocates, educators, and community organizations committed to improving outcomes for mothers, children, and families.

Our goal was to ensure attendees had access to resources that extend beyond healthcare alone. Mental health support, housing assistance, crisis intervention services, and community programs all play a role in helping families thrive.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow us to connect with community leaders and continue expanding our network of support.

Partnership with the Newark Police Department

One of our proudest accomplishments this year has been the expansion of our partnership with the Newark Police Department.

Through this initiative, officers are now equipped with Project Ring resource cards and resource bags that can be distributed directly to individuals encountered during their daily patrols.

Many people experiencing hardship never walk into a shelter, social service office, or healthcare facility. Instead, their first point of contact is often a police officer, first responder, or community outreach worker.

By placing resources directly into the hands of those professionals, we can help bridge the gap between crisis and support.

This partnership allows us to reach individuals exactly where they are and connect them to services that may change the course of their lives.

Building Something Bigger

While outreach events are the most visible part of what we do, much of our work happens behind the scenes.

Over the past several months, we have been:

Completely redesigning and expanding ProjectRing.org

Building a comprehensive resource database

Creating QR-code access to community resources

Developing partnerships with shelters, nonprofits, law enforcement agencies, and community leaders

Expanding our resource bag initiative

Preparing grant applications to increase our long-term impact

Identifying new opportunities to serve communities throughout New Jersey and beyond

Every resource listed on our website has been researched and added with the goal of making help easier to find for someone who may be struggling.
