Newark Police Department.
In 2026, Project Ring Inc. proudly established one of our most impactful partnerships yet with the Newark Police Department. Through this collaboration, resource bags filled with essential items and support tools are now being distributed directly by Newark police officers in the field. Each officer has been equipped with resource cards, allowing them to connect individuals in need to critical services such as housing support, food assistance, mental health resources, and more. In addition, resource cards are now available at precinct front desks, ensuring that community members have easy, direct access to support whenever they need it.
Be You, Be Beautiful – 2019 (Project Kind Collaboration) Hosted by Project Kind, this impactful event featured special involvement from Rhett Ellison, a retired NFL tight end/fullback who played for the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants, and Raina Ellison, an actress, model, and former runner-up on America’s Next Top Model. The event created a full day of empowerment and self-care for young women, including hair styling, makeup, braiding, dance classes, and mentorship. Its mission was to help participants recognize their natural beauty, build confidence, and understand their inherent worth.
2019 – Ashley’s Second Event (Community Fire Department Fundraiser) Ashley’s second event was held at the fire department where she first volunteered as an EMT, the place where her career began. This event was organized to support a local unhoused family whose home had burned down, leaving them with nothing. The event marked significant growth, bringing together multiple vendors and strong community support. All proceeds were donated directly to the Bandari family to help them rebuild and recover.
Ashley’s first event was held in partnership with Project Kind at Roxbury Social Services—the same place where she first began volunteering as an EMT. Through selling handmade bracelets, the event raised over $400 to support local outreach efforts.
